Quadrocopter Build Thread
Pictures and progress reports for the big build can go here. I will kick of the awesomeness that is group hacking by posting the frames I made over the weekend.

Re: Quadrocopter Build Thread
really like the look of that black one, has me wanting to upgrade from the wood frame before I've even built it!

I need to get more of that plastic (HDPE). I didn't like using it before because you can't glue it. But for the quad, I'm using a buttload of hardware to keep it together. It is moving to the top of my favourite materials to work with.

Where are you guys getting the 3 pin female to female cables for connecting the receiver to the control board? I had a look at Hobbyworld, all they had were extensions.
Re: Quadrocopter Build Thread
I have some for the build... Did i forget to give you some?....
Let me know and I'll grab some from the box for you.

Re: Quadrocopter Build Thread
Thanks Icars,
I stopped by the space today and Saxmachine dug a couple out of the box for me. im all set that way now.
Query,
the 2 pin header on the PDU board, is that power for the receiver? does it need to be regulated down to 5v for the HK 6a v2 receiver I have?
Thanks

hey Hephaestus,
I believe that the ESCs (HK-HW20A) that everyone got, have a built in BEC supplying voltage/current to your controller board and then to your RX from there
someone please correct me if I'm incorrect.
Also I believe that the 2 pin header on the PDU is for extra peripherals such as LEDs and such on your copter.
