Re: MakerFarm I3V 12 Functional
Hey Dustin! Thanks for sharing. That looks like a decent little unit. Looking forward to hearing about future projects you build with it.

Re: ATMEGA324 troubleshooting & firmware loading
Sorry I totally missed this post. I have quite a lot of experience uploading firmware to the ATmega. Are you still having trouble with his? If so, drop me a line at james@coopercs.ca.

Re: Robot group build / workshop
Here is the Arduino sketch that I wrote for testing our robots. To use this: Open it in Arduino Connect the USB cable from the Arduino to the computer Under the Tools menu, select Board, then select Arduino Mega 2560 Under the Tools menu, select Serial Port, then the appropriate COM port (typically ...

Re: Robot group build / workshop
October 18th's build session was a great success. Thank you Scott, Rachel, Drew, Jeremy, Jim, and Jon for coming out. Though not everybody got finished, we made some great progress. I've already seen that people have been playing with them since then. For those who were unable to attend or didn't fi...

Re: Robot group build / workshop
Hi everybody, Seems I haven't updated this in quite some time. The kit is all together and working. I have all of the parts. The only thing I have left to do is write some example code. So we're ready to start the workshops! I'm hoping to do the first workshop (assembling the robot kit) on Saturday,...

Re: Vending Machine
I have some experince with MEI coin and bill acceptors. The coin mechs did have a manual calibration procedure, but I found it largely ineffective. I ended up having to update the firmware to accept loonies and toonies.

Re: Silver Hornet Quad Group Build
Sorry I'm just replying to this now.
I can look up the parts list of what I used to complete the build of the Silver Hornet you gave me. Given my experiences with it, I have a few suggestions on small things to change to make it a better experience. I'll post these later when I have more time.

Toasterbot
I am building Toasterbot . For those of you who don't know what a "toasterbot" is, please allow me to introduce you to this: http://www.fingertechrobotics.com/prodimages/swag/ft-shirt-toaster-front_lg.png Isn't he awesome? He has tank treads, claws, a chainsaw for a tail, and he can make toast while...

Re: Robot group build / workshop
Boy, I didn't realize it had been so long since I did an update. I have the whole kit together and working. The line sensors work great, other than that they tend to bump the ground and lose sight, but that's with 10mm standoffs. I'm switching to using 8mm standoffs for the production build to avoid...
