COVID-19 Phase 3

A message from the board of directors:

The situation around the current pandemic is continually evolving and the well-being of our members and community is our priority. As the Government and local business begin re-opening for business, and keeping safety and health in mind, we would like to announce the following changes to our current COVID-19 protocols:

Space Access

As of Monday, June 15, 2020, the space will once again be open to the public. Hack nights are back on and guests are welcome as long as social/physical distancing practices are followed.

We’re limiting the number of people allowed in the space at one time to help maintain social distancing recommendations. If you do have a project you would like to work on, please coordinate with other members to limit the number of people in the space at one time to 15. Please be respectful of each other’s time and space, keep a distance of 2m between yourself and other members.

Cleanliness

We have signs up around the space describing how to appropriately wash your hands and have kleenex and sanitizer available. Please use the available resources and keep yourself and others safe.

If You Have Symptoms

Please do not enter the space, go home and practice self-isolation.

Workshops

Workshops are back on with some restrictions to allow for social distancing practices. Please check back for upcoming workshops!

Thank you!

At our AGM in March, we gave our vision for growth for this fiscal year.  Little did we know that a few short days later the world would come to a grinding halt and stay that way for months.  While we haven’t been able to pursue any growth, we were able to stay in limited operation and remain in a safe financial position.  Our sincere thanks to all of you who have continued your membership throughout this difficult time.  It is because of you that we will continue to have a makerspace as we emerge from the pandemic restrictions.
